Hull School Games Code of Conduct for Parents
I will:
- Remember that doing one’s best and taking part is really important
- Encourage fair play by supporting all players
- Teach my child to treat players, teachers, coaches and officials with respect
- Make sure that I do not argue with officials, teachers and coaches and will accept their decisions
- Be a positive role model for my child and set a good example by being a good sport to all sides
- Not coach my child during games and matches
- Never force a child to take part
- Ensure that I do not smoke or drink alcohol as a spectator
- Make sure that my child is dressed properly for the activity and has plenty of water to drink
- Not swear or use unsuitable language
- Never punish or make fun of a child’s poor performance or making mistakes
- Support my child’s involvement and help them enjoy their sport
- Watch the game/event from the marked “Respect” area.
- Support the school in the application of the Student School Sport Code of Conduct
- Ask for permission from the member of staff in charge to take photographs or video the event
I understand that I will be unable to spectate at any Hull School Games events or fixtures if I am in breach of any of the above guidelines and will be asked to leave the venue.
